• Your exam will have 40 multiple choice questions to answer

• You will need a minimum of 32 correct answers (80%) to pass

• You will have 1 hour to complete your exam

• You will have 1 attempt to pass your exam with the training and exam package

• You will be told at the end of your exam if you have passed

• Your E-certificate will be emailed to you when you pass

You will need –

• A laptop OR desktop computer with a working camera as the exam MUST be taken on one of these

• A smartphone OR tablet with a working camera as this acts as your second camera for the examiner to check your room

• A quiet room where you can be on your own to complete the exam

• A strong stable internet connection

• Photo ID

As these are three different organisations that are not linked it is necessary to pay each one individually.

There are some training organisations that will arrange Step 2 and Step 3 for their learners but they will charge much more than the official price to do this.

Labourercard.co.uk does not charge you for things you can easily do yourself.

To get a CSCS Green Labourer Card you need to complete the three different steps. You need to take an exam to complete Step 1 and an exam to complete Step 2.

Although the exams are different they are very similar, so preparing and passing your Health and Safety in a Construction Environment exam in Step 1 is a great way to prepare for your Health Safety and Environment Test in Step 2.

You must have completed Step 1 (achieved your Health and Safety in a Construction Environment Qualification) and Step 2 (passed your Health Safety and the Environment test) before completing Step 3 and applying for your card.

You don’t have to complete Step 1 before completing Step 2 but as the exam and test for both stages are very similar it makes sense to do your training for Step 1 first then take both your exam and your test.

This will give you the best chance of passing first time and completing your training as quickly as possible.

In the past it was possible to just pass the Health Safety and Environment test and then you could order your card.

This changed in 2020 and now you must have the Level 1 Health and Safety in the Construction Environment Qualification to successfully apply for your CSCS Green Labourer Card.

Yes, if you are on certain government benefits it may be possible to get the CSCS Green Labourer Card funded by the government. Unfortunately this is not a service that Labourercard.co.uk can currently offer.

To find out if this is possible contact your local job center and they will be able to help you.

The government funded courses are usually very long, sometimes taking up to 3 months to complete and can involve taking many other qualifications at the same time.

So although you may possibly get the CSCS Green Labourer Card without paying you may be losing out on wages while you wait to complete your training.
